Dr David Hallett

Dr David Hallett has nearly 40 years experience in clinical dentistry. He owned and operated private practices in both rural and metropolitan areas prior to working at the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia. He served on the Australian Dental Association (WA Branch) Council for 18 years prior to becoming President. He was then engaged as the Chief Executive Officer, serving in this role for 8 years. During this time, he provided a personal service to the members educating, mentoring and guiding clinicians. He provided advice to principal dentists, associate clinicians, public service and university clinicians through career challenges.

He devoted considerable time and effort assisting recent graduates and internationally qualified clinicians to better understand and achieve healthcare excellence while gaining a strong foothold in clinical practice. He advocated for the profession, regularly meeting with state and federal ministers to modernise healthcare provision, improve working conditions for clinicians and deliver better health outcomes for the WA public. He was awarded a national ADA Distinguished Service Award for his services to the dental profession.

Dr Hallett has specific expertise in business ownership, staff management, regulation, compliance, private health insurance, professional indemnity insurance, mediation, credentialling as well as ethical and clinical best practice. He leverages his expertise to provide comprehensive education and mentoring to dentists and dental practitioners.

Dr Kang Kim

Dr Kang Kim practiced clinical dentistry for 14 years. During this time, he owned and operated two private dental practices in metropolitan Perth. He served on the Australian Dental Association (WA Branch) Council for 10 years, becoming President in 2015. He was awarded a national ADA Outstanding Young Dentist Award as recognition for his contributions. He has been engaged as a speaker to provide his insights on health management for the ADA Congress and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

After this time, Dr Kim took leave from clinical practice to complete his Masters of Health Leadership and Management at the University of New South Wales. He was then appointed as a management consultant in EY’s Oceania Health practice where he worked with leading health minds in the health sector to deliver strategies and solutions for the Australian Health system.

He currently acts as a Dental Advisor for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Tasmania. He is also the Chief Clinical Officer for Noted-Dent, a Health Tech AI Company.

Dr Kim has specific expertise in financial performance analysis, business acquisition, organisational management, clinical governance, health policy, leadership, health economics, business and strategy as well as safety and quality of health services.

Metta Hayribetoglu

Metta brings nearly 30 years of experience in the dental industry, having built a diverse and accomplished career across multiple roles. 

She began as a dental assistant in both the government and private sectors, before moving into practice management where Metta developed a strong foundation in leading teams and improving operations.

Her dedication to education, led her to become a senior lecturer for dental assistants, mentoring and inspiring many students with a practical, values driven approach.

Further into her journey, Metta participated in a national role as a Practice Development Manager, supporting teams in increasing productivity, whilst maintaining a strong focus on patient centred care, team inclusiveness and clinical excellence. She assisted her clients with achieving dental accreditation, leading to quality assurance and compliance.

As a solo, former director of her own highly successful dental practice, Metta independently led her team and business to long term success. She attributes this to a deep commitment to the patient journey and building the right team culture, one that is grounded in respect, accountability, and empathy. 

Metta believes that success often comes through challenge and that growth is built not just through wins, but through the lessons that come from failure, setbacks, and resilience. It’s this lived experience that fuels her passion to help others. Together with her colleagues at Cura Health Advisory, she is focused on supporting dental professionals and practice owners to reach their full potential, sharing the tools, insights, and hard won lessons gained within three decades in the field.
